While the 1908 Istanbul Sultan Abdulhamid era and the struggle between the Union and Progress members and the autocrats are being told, the love between Fehim Pasha's daughter Mihriban and the son of the former bully Yedi Bela Rasim, Yusuf, is presented to the audience in an entertaining and cheerful language with musical instruments, dancing and singing.
The play also reminds our audience of motifs such as orta oyunu, meddah and shadow play of our traditional theatre, which are now unfortunately on the verge of being forgotten.
