Master Geppetto, an old toy carpenter, makes a puppet out of a log and wishes to have a child on New Year's Eve.

When he wakes up in the morning, his wish comes true and his puppet comes to life. He names him Pinocchio. The inexperienced Pinocchio makes many mistakes without his father knowing, but the fairy godmother comes to Pinocchio's aid; she shows him interest and compassion. One day, Pinocchio falls into the circus owner's trap and experiences many adventures to find his father and return home, and now he tries to be a good boy.

Pinocchio, a hard-working, kind-hearted and obedient boy, is transformed into a real boy by the fairy godmother.
