It is a sophisticated, very humorous, noisy farce based on an extremely simple idea, set in the turbulent days of 1960s London.

Comedy in the Dark is one of the most modern comedies, written with the idea of presenting this blind fight to the audience under the light, between characters groping around in the dark as the lights go out.

Sculptor Brindsley is engaged to Carol and wants to impress Carol's old-fashioned colonel brother. But the fuses blow on the night when both Carol's brother and a billionaire come to buy the statues. Brindsley's ex-girlfriend Clea comes and hides herself in the secluded apartment. Carol cannot distinguish her fiancé Brindsley's hand from the others in the dark. However, Brindsley's antique dealer homosexual neighbor and Clea recognize Brindsley immediately. Love may be blind, but it is undeniable that it has feelings. Moreover, it is very difficult to hide these feelings and behave otherwise.
