The Hunchback of Notre Dame - About Quasimodo
The Hunchback of Notre Dame Musical, produced by Kumbara Visual Arts Theatre, is based on the life of Victor Hugo, one of the most famous writers of French and world literature.
Inspired by the book The Hunchback of Notre Dame, it presents sections from the dark days of the imperial period in France after the revolution and tells the story of the place of fate in people's lives and the struggle against this poverty.
The musical deals with the love of Claude Frollo, the spiritual and religious leader of Notre Dame Cathedral, who finds Quasimodo in front of the church and names him Quasimodo, meaning incomplete because he is ugly and hunchbacked, and who grows up to be the bell-ringer of the church, and Claude Frollo and Phoebus, a commander loyal to the King, for the Gypsy Girl Esmeralda living in the neighborhood, and the dilemmas and reactions that occur in the souls of the bell-ringer and the priest, with a romantic approach.

Go there knowing that it is a musical. Since the lyrics are not very understandable, you try to watch the play by putting together what you understand. I definitely think they should play it by projecting the lyrics onto the wall with a projector. The visuals were beautiful. It was a dynamic play.
